About Shelly Burdette-Taylor and Taylor'd Health Education

Shelly Taylor is nurse, educator, writer, wife of Tom, and mother of 4. She has devoted most of her 30 plus year career as a wound, skin, & foot care nurse specifically addressing non-traumatic and now traumatic amputation issues. She is board certified in education, wound care, foot care, and parish nursing and is completing her doctorate in nursing at the University of San Diego in the PhD program.

Shelly has spent years developing content and counseling and serving as a LTC in the Army Nurse Corp. She is certified as a Total Army Instructor and devotes much of her reserve time teaching Combat Life Saver, EMT-B, and Combat Medic Advanced Skills Training (CMAST) for our War Time Injuries for troops being deployed to Iraq and Afghanistan.

She has a part-time education company called Taylor’D Health Foot & Nail Care School which focuses on preparing RN’s to sit for the WOCN Foot and Nail Care Certification Board Exam. Shelly offers a wide array of content for skin, wound, foot care, and professional development.
